Your XML Sitemap is the roadmap Googlebot uses to navigate and index your website. If it's broken, contains non-200 URLs, or is blocked by robots.txt, Google will struggle to discover your new content, especially on large Programmatic SEO sites.
An orphan page is a URL that exists in your XML sitemap (or on your server) but has zero internal links pointing to it from anywhere else on your site. Search engines assign very little value to orphan pages.
Your robots.txt file tells crawlers which paths they are NOT allowed to visit. If your XML sitemap lists a URL, but your robots.txt Disallows it, you create a conflict that often results in a 'Indexed, though blocked by robots.txt' error in Google Search Console.
